American chop suey is believed to be invented by Chinese
immigrants in America in 1880's. A dish consisting of
meat, veggies and noodles cooked quickly in sweet and
tangy thickened sauce. A meal by itself!
1 medium / 50g capsicum
cut into cubes
¼ cup / 50g cabbage
50 g noodlees, boiled & fried
1 tbsp oil
2 ¼ cups/ 450 ml water
for garnishing:2 sprigs of spring onion, chopped
- Heat oil in a pan, add cut vegetables and saute for a minute.
- Add water and Suhana American Chop Suey Ready Mix. Stir well and cook for 5-6 minutes or till the sauce thickens.
- Place the fried noodles in a serving bowl and pour the sauce over it. Garnish with spring onion and serve hot.
Chef's Tip: Add fried chicken chunks along with fried noodlees to make a chicken chop suey.
