How to cook Mutton Kolhapuri

Kolhapur is an ancient city, and the cuisine is renowned for it's lavangi chilli pungency and regional taste. Captivate the red hot taste with ease, by Suhana Kolhapuri Mix.

Ingredients Required

  • 4-5cup/500-900ml water
  • Entire packet of Suhana Mutton Kolhapuri Mix (100g)
  • 500g mutton, cut into 1’’ pieces
  • for garnishing: 1tbsp fresh coriander leaves, chopped

Directions

Pressure Cook Method

  1. In a pressure cooker add Suhana Mutton Kolhapuri Mix and 2½cup/500ml water.
  2. Add mutton and stir well.
  3. Cook on a low flame upto 6 whistles or 30-35 minutes.

Stove Top Method

  1. In a pan add Suhana Mutton Kolhapuri Mix and 4½ cups (900ml) water.
  2. Add mutton and stir well.
  3. Cover with a lid and cook for 50-55 minutes by stirring frequently or till the mutton is tender.
    (Time and water quantity may vary depending on the quality of meat)

Garnish with coriander leaves. Serve piping hot with rice or Indian breads such as parathas or naans.

Chef's Tip: You can also make Veg Kolhapuri using vegetables instead of meat with Suhana Mutton
