How to cook Paneer Butter Masala

Paneer also known as cottage cheese is traditionally used in Indian cuisine which defines sumptuousness in vegetarian feast. A north Indian fare most popular for it's buttery onion tomato sauce.

Ingredients Required

  • 1 cup/250g cottage cheese (paneer), cut into 1” cubes
  • 1 cup/150g fresh tomato purée
  • Entire packet of Suhana Paneer Butter Masala Mix (50g)
  • ½ cup/100ml milk
  • 3 tbsp/45g butter
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 cup/200ml water
  • for garnishing: 1tbsp fresh cream

Directions

  1. Make a paste of Suhana Paneer Butter Masala Mix and milk.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add tomato purée and cook for 4-5 minutes or till oil oozes out.
  3. Add paste and cook for 1-2 minutes on low flame.
  4. Add water, paneer and butter. Cook for 5-6 minutes or till gravy thickens.

Garnish with fresh cream. Serve piping hot with rice or Indian breads such as parathas or naans.

Chef's Tip: You can use vegetables of your choice like french beans, carrots, green peas, cauliflower
